Free Energy Saving Products Available

Meter Sampling Underway

Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp. is completing a random sampling of meters between now and July 31, 2019. This work is aimed at meeting Measurement Canada’s inspection requirements for electricity meters. Approximately 560 meters will be removed from residential sites and replaced with new meters. All removals and installations will be completed by a Welland Hydro employee. This process will result in the disconnection of service for approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete the meter changeover.  If you have any concerns, please contact Welland Hydro at 905-732-1381 and select option 6 to speak to a Customer Service Representative.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

2017 Supply Mix

The OEB has posted updated supply mix data with information from 2017. As per Ontario Regulation 416/99 made under the OEB Act, and the Board’s Directive, this information is required to be disclosed to Ontario consumers.

OEB Releases Welland Hydro's 2017 Scorecard Results

On December 17, 2010, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) initiated a consultative process to address how the Board might create conditions which will foster the cost-effective and efficient implementation of Board-approved network investment plans by transmitters and distributors through the establishment of appropriate standards for performance and efficiency, the provision of appropriate incentives, and the review of utility performance. 

 

This initiative is part of a coordinated consultative process to develop a renewed regulatory framework for electricity.
