2018 Supply Mix

The OEB has posted updated supply mix data with information from 2018. As per Ontario Regulation 416/99 made under the OEB Act, and the Board’s Directive, this information is required to be disclosed to Ontario consumers.

 

In 2018, supply mix percentages are as follows:

 

Nuclear - 58.4%

Water Power - 23.9%

Natural Gas - 6.2%

Wind - 8.0%

Solar PV - 2.3%

Bioenergy - 0.5%

Non-Contracted - 0.8%

Free Energy Saving Products Available

Meter Sampling Underway

Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp. is completing a random sampling of meters between now and July 31, 2019. This work is aimed at meeting Measurement Canada’s inspection requirements for electricity meters. Approximately 560 meters will be removed from residential sites and replaced with new meters. All removals and installations will be completed by a Welland Hydro employee. This process will result in the disconnection of service for approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete the meter changeover.  If you have any concerns, please contact Welland Hydro at 905-732-1381 and select option 6 to speak to a Customer Service Representative.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

OESP Changes
