A tree has fallen and taken out power to accounts in the Young, Moyer, Carl and Matthews area. Time to restore is unknown until we have had a chance to determine the extent of the damage. Crews are onsite now. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Customer Alert - Unsolicited Door-to-Door Sales

Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp. has received information from several customers who have had a salesperson arrive at their door stating they are able to offer them several free Nest products (thermostat, CO2 detectors, outdoor cameras, etc...), plus a credit on their hydro bill, if they sign a lease agreement. The salesperson will also try to book a time (same day) to install the Nest products.

 

Please note that this company is not affiliated with Welland Hydro and can not offer a credit on your monthly hydro invoice.

 

The company's name is CHICC and will also have a Trusted Home Services logo on their agreement. Customers are encouraged to use caution and make sure that they read and understand any agreement before disclosing any information and/or signing the agreement.
